Catching Up 7-31-14

It was a chocolate and wine kind of night as I spent a couple hours updating my blog.

Break Out The Confidence 7-30-14

Red is my color. It is the color I wear when I need a boost of confidence, or when I am already feeling confident, "Forever Red" is the name of my favorite perfume that I wear all the time, red is the color of my favorite high heels, and I basically wish everything is my wardrobe was red. So of course I wear red to most interviews I may go to, cause it just makes me feel so comfortably me. I had an interview for an optician position at an Eye Clinic this afternoon, so of course I broke out the red high heels.....Ummm yea, I totally got the job. ;-)

Dinner On The Porch 7-29-14

Dustin and I ate dinner out on the front porch while he contemplated taking some classes at ASUMH this next semester.

Mr. Blue To You! 7-27-14

My dad has always been into M&Ms and especially Blue, so that's what my sister made him for his birthday cake. I think she did a great job with this little guy! Hope You had a great birthday, Dad!

Ozark Empire Fair 7-26-14

On a spur of the moment date we went to the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, MO. I got to go to my first monster show, see some amazingly massive draft and Clydesdale horses, pet some unique animals in a petting zoo, eat some yummy pineapple mixture, walk around hand in hand among the crowds and flashy lights with my man and ride on the big ferris wheel. We had a blast!

There was a female monster truck driver!!! Girl Power!!! 

There was a Jet Truck, a truck with a jet engine.
They drove it in front of the car and lit the car on fire with the jet truck!

Lilies 7-25-14

These beautiful lilies are in front of my in-laws home. Debbie, my mother-in-law, is excellent at growing all kinds of things and she grows some of the prettiest flowers.

Ozark Highland Trail? 7-24-14

I went to the library today on my lunch hour to check out this book. And while I was there I just had to stop by Blackbird Cafe and get a half sandwich. I sat out in the sun, ate my delicious sandwich and let my mind go wild with the possibilities of adventure. I really would like to do this whole trail, I am sure there are some gorgeous places on this trail. I do not however want to do it alone, and when I told Dustin it would take somewhere close to two weeks to complete the trail all the way through, he quickly said it is not for him. Oh well, maybe someday, A girl can dream at least.

Thoughts of a Cat 7-23-14

Blue loves to hang around in the window, like most cats.

He just sits there thinking bout complicated cat stuff. When I interrupt his thoughtful moments he looks at me like I have just wrecked the most important train of thought known to both the feline and human population.

Car Troubles 7-22-14

So I get a call from my husband when I get home from work and he says his car won't start. This car is new to us and we are still making payments on it, so not happy is putting it mildly. So I drive out to Flippin in my 12 year old Dodge Neon that just keeps giving, to get him. Sure enough, it still won't start, so we had to leave "Jenny" (Yes I name our cars) in the Parking lot of the school tonight.


* It wound up being the starter and Dustin was able to use the bus garage of the school to fix it himself a couple days later.

Lunch At The Park 7-21-14

I got a yummy lunch from our friend Lindsey's Sol Kitchen summer project. Today she made some delicious, healthy chipotle veggies wraps with a salad and blueberry dressing made of local blueberries. SO YUMMY! I took it to the park and watched the pond wildlife swim around. I saw this little guy out there who I hadn't ever seen in the pond before. It was the perfect weather and a perfect lunch hour.

Summer Evening By The River 7-20-14

Tonight we took our pups on a hike by the White River on Big Bluff Trail out at Gaston's resort. It was a beautiful evening with our little family.

A Day With The Nieces 7-19-14

We took our two nieces out to marionette puppet show at the library today. The Puppet Show was the story of Rumpelstiltskin. The girls seemed to enjoy it.

After the puppet show we took them over to the park to play for a bit. We played on everything several times. I love seeing them so happy and care free.

After playing hard at the park for a while we all went to Pizza Hut.

They asked if they could spend the night at our house tonight and so of course we said yes.

We went out on our driveway and drew with chalk. There was everything from Godzilla to cute turtles and flowers colorfully decorating our driveway. I drew this little scene and let Renee fly away on the big pick balloon.

Burger and Bowling 7-18-14

So I've been having a craving a cheese burger for about three days now, I finally gave in. I have not had a hamburger in years. I am mainly vegetarian, only eating a little bit a of fish now and then. We went to The Back Forty in Mountain Home. We watched Karaoke and had amazing hamburgers. We had such a great time together. Then Dustin's co-worker called and we went bowling with him and his sweet lady friend. Great evening!

A New Book 7-17-14

I bought a new book for my kindle app tonight. I didn't get very far it is very weird and hard to follow. 

Produce 7-16-14

This is produce from our friend's garden. They have a huge garden and

are producing so much they had some for us.

Baby Melon 7-15-14

We have little baby melons all over our plant

but none of them are turning yellow yet!

I hope they taste good once they are ripe!

Sad Day 7-13-14

So I forgot to take a picture this day. I didn't realize until the next day. I was so very sad the next day that I had forgotten to take my daily picture. I even thought about not even continuing with the picture of the day blog. Sometimes, in my life at least, my head gets filled with so much muck and yuck that I forget about who I really am and what I enjoy. Sunday was one of those days. I was so lost in my own little rainy day cloud I didn't even think to take a picture.

Floatin' Down the River 7-12-14

We got to go on an impromptu float trip with the Cochrans today. We floated down the North Fork River up in Missouri. It was pretty hot today but I managed not to get very sunburned! We all had tons of fun!
