Rare Moment 12-09-14

So Dustin is sick tonight and has already gone to bed by this point. I am sitting on the couch and Blue comes up and cuddles on my chest. We don't get along very well most of the time, so this is very rare. I was his only option for attention for tonight so I would have to do.

Fresh Water 12-04-14

Dustin just filled up the animals water bowl. Blue loves to watch the bubbles and drink be the first one to drink from the new water before it gets dog germs all in it.

Tight Spaces 12-01-14

One of the dog beds we have has gotten scrunched up between the other bed and the wall. This is Gracie's new favorite place. She loves to be sandwiched into tight spots.

Decorating Beginnings 11-30-14

It was about 70 degrees today and we put out our Christmas lights on our house. I was wearing a tank top and flip flops on the last day of November.

Gracie helped me put up the trees that line our driveway.

A Boy and His Dog 11-16-14

My nephew and one of their family dogs. I went over to their house today to hang out with my sis and the kids. It was the first snow of the season as well so we enjoyed watching the light snow flitter to the ground in the warm house. 

Fair Fun 9-13-14

We went to the fair again tonight but this time with our friends. We spent a lot of time over at the petting zoo again. Kib was enthralled with the sweet little Arctic fox, Stella. I was still very much in love with the Kinkajou, which Dustin is shown here holding. The Kinkajou liked being held by me better but I managed to snap a picture while he was in Dustin's arms for a few minutes.

Silence and Relief 09-05-14

After weeks of being super itchy and miserable Piper, my sister's dog, is feeling much better today. We took her to the vet yesterday and the vet gave her a cortisone shot that really helped relieve the itching, which is great for her poor little body and relief for my aggravated ears.

The Dog Shuffle 8-15-14

So this is what our hallway looks like on any given night. So if you have to get up and go down the hall in the middle of the night, you must do the "Dog Shuffle" which is shuffling your feet along the floor, instead of walking normally, in order to avoid stepping right on or tripping on a black dog in the dark.

My Furry Lunch Date 8-11-14

On my lunch break today I went with the Human Society to the Hiram Shaddox Geriatric Center. We took three dogs and a kitten to visit the folks there. This was the sweet girl I got to hang on to, isn't she precious!? The older folks loved the animals and the animals had a great time too. I loved getting to hear stories from the sweet people there, you just never know what they are going to tell you, such a great feeling to make them smile. :-)

Thoughts of a Cat 7-23-14

Blue loves to hang around in the window, like most cats.

He just sits there thinking bout complicated cat stuff. When I interrupt his thoughtful moments he looks at me like I have just wrecked the most important train of thought known to both the feline and human population.

Lazy Day 7-5-14

Today was a lazy day. I spent a lot of time in the hammock today reading. We also took a walk down David's trail and sat on a rock for a while just talking and sitting on a big rock watching all the boats go by. We came away from that rock with lots of chigger bites, but it was fun in the moment.

Perfection is a beautiful day, spent in a hammock with a good book.

Out Back 7-2-14

We cooked dinner out on the grill tonight. Unfortunately, we over cooked the asparagus and the corn on the cob wasn't good at all. Oh well, we had a good evening anyway. The dogs and cat had a good time outside too.

Checking on the Farm 6-29-14

Our friends were out of town this week so they asked us to go by their house and check in the rabbits and birds. Everyone was fine and happy when we got there. They told us any eggs that we could find, we could have. There were three eggs inside the food dish! The dogs LOVE to go out to the farm and run around. Zipper loves to watch the chickens, but she doesn't mess with them anymore.

Muddy Paw 6-18-14

I took a picture of a scratched up, muddy window? Yes, I did. That is my Zipper girl's paw right there. When she has had enough of being outside she sometimes jumps up on the sliding glass door. I saw this perfect paw print from across the room as the sun was setting and shining through the glass.

Demon Inside 6-16-14

This kitty may be a sweetie when his daddy is home but when it is just him and I....this is what I get. Dustin is at a Tech conference so Blue is without his daddy and he likes to take it out on me. I was laying on the couch and blue was lounging on the side I had my feet propped up. While I was talking to Dustin on the phone, Blue lunged at my feet and grabbed them with claws out. We are not starting this time together out well.....demon kitty.

Happy Little Blue Bird 6-5-14

Saw this little sweetie visiting my strawberry baskets out in our garden tonight. At the first sign of berries though, I plan on putting wildlife netting around the plants so he can still sit there, but no snacking!

On The Line 6-4-14

Tonight as I was watering our herbs I looked up and noticed I had company...

I love birds. My living room is decorated in bird decor and I try my hardest to make sure the bird feeders are always full.

Garden Pups 6-2-14

Zipper and Gracie love going out to the garden with me. They just hang around me while I pick weeds and take care of the garden. They basically just love being wherever I am, and I am so thankful for their loving company, plus they are SOOOO cute who wouldn't want these two hanging around?

Troy 5-14-14

This is Troy. He is the cat I adopted with my mom when I was about 17. Since I got married and moved out he has stayed with mom. He is a loving cat that looks like the name "Garfield" might fit him better than Troy, he is a big kitty. He also licks human skin more than normal cats. I can't stand cat licks, they feel like wet sand paper. We has been living at our house since mom had her knee surgery. He was laying on my stomach while I lounged on the couch tonight.

Always Willing 4-28-14

I believe every girl should have a couple dogs to go hiking with. Seriously they are the very best hiking buddies ever. They are always willing and ready at a moments notice. They will follow you wherever and protect you from whatever. I got to spend the evening on David's Trail with these two furry beauties. We took a part of the trail we hadn't been on yet and wound up at the beach! OK Norfork Lake, but it did have tiny seashells in the pebble sand. So Thankful for life today!
