The Last Minute 9-30-14

So I remembered I needed to take a picture for today as I settled into bed...so I grabbed my camera and took this one. My life is pretty boring most days so a lot of times there is just not a picture perfect moment in my day so I just forget to take a picture. At least tonight, I remembered before I shut the lights off.

Muddy Sunset on the Beach 9-28-14

We went to Calamity Beach tonight. We brought chairs out by the shore line and read for a while then walked on the beach with our pups while the sun was going down, it was a beautiful night.

Dustin decided to try to walk over some quicksand mud and it wound up sucking him in up to about his ankles, it was hilarious!!

Captain Johnson 9-27-14

We went out on Dustin's parents boat this afternoon. It was a fun time and beautiful weather.

When we were growing up, my best friend and I would pick these and spread the little wishes all over the yard. The adults would tell us not to, because it spreads weeds, but we just thought they were wishes just waiting to be plucked and blown into the breeze.

Walk This Way 9-21-14

Zipper is the leader of the pack when we go on walks or hikes. When she is off her leash, she likes to be the very first one scoping out the trail ahead.

Bridge Bash 9-20-14

This is a view of the Bridge Bash in Cotter Spring today. This is the view from the Cotter Bridge. You can just barely see all event tents out in the distance. The Bridge Bash is a fundraising event for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.

Hootin' and Hollarin' 9-19-14

We met my Mom and Aunt Anna out in Gainesville tonight for "Hootin' and Hollarin'". It is a little festival held on the Gainesville square with vendors, live music and at the end of the day square dancing. It was so much fun and fantastic people watching that I got to thinking, "I've lived here for 10 years and I've never been to this??!!" It was quite the cultural event especially when they started the square dancing. The people realllly got into it! It was so much fun watching them twirl each other round and round.

A Lesson in Crochet 9-18-14

I asked me mom to teach me how to crochet and tonight was my first lesson. Troy the cat is incredibly interested as well...

What's Wrong with the Beds? 9-17-14

Here we have my dog Gracie and my sister's dog piper, laying right next to each other to the side of the dog beds. Apparently, the floor is more comfortable tonight than the fluffy beds provided.

Golden Hour 9-14-14

A Sunday afternoon hike on the trail with my sweet dogs and adorable husband. I love the last 2 hours before the sun goes down. everything seems to be in a golden state of bliss.

Fair Fun 9-13-14

We went to the fair again tonight but this time with our friends. We spent a lot of time over at the petting zoo again. Kib was enthralled with the sweet little Arctic fox, Stella. I was still very much in love with the Kinkajou, which Dustin is shown here holding. The Kinkajou liked being held by me better but I managed to snap a picture while he was in Dustin's arms for a few minutes.

Fair With Family 9-12-14

I went to the fair with my mom, aunt and grandparents tonight. It was such a treat to get to have Spring Dipper Ice Cream at the fair! This is the first time he's been here in the Mtn. home fair that I know of. We had a good time looking at the animals, booths and listening to live music.

Tiger or Table? 9-11-14

Goodbye House 09-10-14

After days of helping Dustin's parents move out of their home, tonight was the final night. There were so many memories made in this home by Dustin as he grew up with his siblings. The house is filled with good times and memories for the whole family. It is important to remember though that this is just a house, a building, home is in the hearts of the family and can never be taken away.

Long Days Work 09-09-14

Dustin and his dad and lots of other family and friends worked all day emptying out this big Victorian house of my in-laws. These two men are some of the strongest hearted men I've ever met.

Silence and Relief 09-05-14

After weeks of being super itchy and miserable Piper, my sister's dog, is feeling much better today. We took her to the vet yesterday and the vet gave her a cortisone shot that really helped relieve the itching, which is great for her poor little body and relief for my aggravated ears.

Bones 09-04-14

So I am dog-sitting my sister's dog for a while and I had to take her into the vet today. We are sitting in the exam room when I look up to see this....

Veggie Pizza 09-03-14
