Gentle Giant 12-27-14

Gobber and Gabby, my in-laws dogs, are staying with us for a few days. Every once in a while I look over at Goober and he is like this, sound asleep.

Tight Spaces 12-01-14

One of the dog beds we have has gotten scrunched up between the other bed and the wall. This is Gracie's new favorite place. She loves to be sandwiched into tight spots.

A Boy and His Dog 11-16-14

My nephew and one of their family dogs. I went over to their house today to hang out with my sis and the kids. It was the first snow of the season as well so we enjoyed watching the light snow flitter to the ground in the warm house. 

Silence and Relief 09-05-14

After weeks of being super itchy and miserable Piper, my sister's dog, is feeling much better today. We took her to the vet yesterday and the vet gave her a cortisone shot that really helped relieve the itching, which is great for her poor little body and relief for my aggravated ears.

Evening by the Creek 8-31-14

We went down by the creek in Norfork tonight to cool off. We took the pups with us of course. 

Muddy Paw 6-18-14

I took a picture of a scratched up, muddy window? Yes, I did. That is my Zipper girl's paw right there. When she has had enough of being outside she sometimes jumps up on the sliding glass door. I saw this perfect paw print from across the room as the sun was setting and shining through the glass.

Garden Pups 6-2-14

Zipper and Gracie love going out to the garden with me. They just hang around me while I pick weeds and take care of the garden. They basically just love being wherever I am, and I am so thankful for their loving company, plus they are SOOOO cute who wouldn't want these two hanging around?

Nature Loves Me Too 5-16-14

While Dustin was helping at Flippin High School's Graduation the pups and I hit the trail. It was sprinkling most of the time we were out there, but there is so much tree cover that we hardly got wet.

This is one of my best hiking buds. Even though she is often off her leash (I know, shame on me) she pretty much stays right here the whole walk, especially if we are walking without Dustin. She might just love me.

The water in this little cove was really this color!

As we were walking back I passed this rock and noticed it has a tattoo! Ok so maybe a birthmark? Either way, I thought it was sweet of nature to send me a sign of love, I heart you too!

Always Willing 4-28-14

I believe every girl should have a couple dogs to go hiking with. Seriously they are the very best hiking buddies ever. They are always willing and ready at a moments notice. They will follow you wherever and protect you from whatever. I got to spend the evening on David's Trail with these two furry beauties. We took a part of the trail we hadn't been on yet and wound up at the beach! OK Norfork Lake, but it did have tiny seashells in the pebble sand. So Thankful for life today!

Couch Night 3-25-14

Dustin had a difficult and long day at work today, hard days naturally mean TV and couch nights. We snuggled up with blankets, tea and a sweet puppy who's not supposed to be on the couch....

My Furry Heart 1-21-14

This is my furry heart. She is a heaping spoon full of sugar. This is my Gracie Love Johnson. Watch out she might just love you to death, very dangerous. She reminded me of why I adore her so much today. I have had some very very painful toothaches for the past couple days, so severe there were tears involved today. Well gracie feels it is her job to comfort mommy until she stops crying. She won't leave my side while I am crying and practicly makes me pet her so she can make it all better. Tonight she even got her face up to my face and was sniffin the tears and trying to lick them away. Once I stop crying she will lay down close to me, but not until she has made it better. She is seriously the sweetest heart I have ever known.

Nightly Treats 1-8-14

Zipper and Gracie both get a treat when they have come in from outside for the last time right before bed. They must sit and wait till I say "ok" before they take it. Such good girls!!

Birthday Pup 1-4-14

Happy 7th birthday Zipper!! We took Zipper to All Pet, the local pet store in Mountain Home, AR, to get a birthday treat. I picked two things, held them down for her, she smelled both of them (through the plastic) and then licked this one once. So we brought it home (plus a small party favor for her sister grace) and this is her happily chomping on her birthday present.

Doggie Puzzles 1-2-14

Our pups got doggie puzzles for Christmas. They love the challenge! Zipper must either have her puzzle filled up to play with or her Kong filled with peanut butter, after dinner every night. No worries if you forget though, she'll remind you!!
